Here's a LIFE EXPERIENCE by Emma, from Minnesota! "A few months ago, I was working at a nursing home (attending to the needs of the residents, helping them eat, cleaning up after them, etc.). The woman that was in charge of telling us who to help and what to do, told me to get one of the residents so I could wheel him up to the Barber shop (really... do they care what they look like?) and when he was done, wheel him back. When I found out his room number, I walked up 3 flights of stairs (not only were there at least 100 steps to walk up, it was around 89 degrees farenheit in the stair wells). As I turned down the hall way in which his room was, I started to smell this disgusting odor (similar to rotting flesh... little did I know...).
Not thinking too much of it I went to the gentleman's room and saw that his door was closed. Following procedure, I knocked on the door loudly 2 times, since he wasnt answering I opened the door slightly and looked inside. There I saw him, laying on his bed, eyes wide open, with blood coming from his nose, and mouth (and from what I remember before I panicked, there was blood coming from his eyes... definitley NOT normal). I immediately started shaking and ran to his bed. First I checked his pulse (yes I touched his body, which I regret doing as it was completely horrifying) and when I realized he had no heartbeat, I called for a nurse (I got to use this really nifty walkie talkie thing which turned on a purple "signal light" outside of the room... it was so cool). When she ran in, I began telling her everything I saw/did, thinking that I had no clue what was going on she told me, "Oh, he does this sometimes... he was probably just eating some toast with strawberry jelly on it and fell asleep." Feeling slightly offended that she actually thought I was that stupid (yet laughing hysterically in my head) I left. I remember thinking to myself, "Hmmmm, I totally believe your idiotic explanation as to why this man is not dead and I'd like to thank you so much for informing me of the "jelly" that is coming from his face..." The next day, the local morgue took his body away in a body bag (may I emphasize the fact that it was the next day!!! Seriously, what is wrong with these people?)... I still wish I would have said something to the nurse but I have a feeling that she would just tell me that I dreamt it, that it wasnt real, or maybe even that it was a joke they were playing on the other residents as to say, "Hahaha! This is going to be you soon!" Alright, thats my story, and if there are errors, I apologize, I cant help that I'm American and that we suck at everything besides turning every country against us... so yea. Have a great day!" Don't worry, I can remove your American retardations... but I'll probably leave all those extra z's in just for novelty value. There aren't enough z's in the English language - Ross Emma got in touch shortly after the "3 dead bodies and a Chinese guy" article with this story so I asked her if she'd like to write the first reader article. Emma is 16 year old no-tail from Minnesota, USA. She's in a band called Retro Lullaby, and she has a face. Thanks Emma for this life happening, I'm sure we can all find much humour in you being scarred for life. |
