This isn't funny. It's simply retarded. But it's so worth talking about on here, simply because my friends are having such a HILARIOUS time with this, that I should share it really. Here's the thing... my dear mother actually believes that when you dim a light in a room... it uses MORE electricity. Now I could end the article here and it would still be funny... but narrr... I'm going to CONTINUE.

Everyone I've told this to has reacted by saying something along the lines of "you're kidding me right?" "that's insane?"  and various other lines involving insanity, lunacy, and general "HAHAHA OH MY FUCKING GOD. ARE YOU FOR REAL? THAT SIMPLY DOESN'T MAKE SENSE IN ANY POSSIBLE WAY". It's funny shit, and I'm always the first one to moan at a "your mum" joke because they aren't funny and I always tell people to go fuck themselves because I quite like my mother, but I mean this is just incredible!

I even sat down with her, and researched it via the magical GOOGLE machine, and her response was "well... the internet is wrong". I mean seriously... what kind of a human being can say "the internet is wrong, I'm right". It's like... wow...

In light of the failings of google, I told three or four of my friends and had her read their responses... she then tells me to "go to hell, Ross" and storms out. JESUS CHRIST.

Anyway, the point of this entry was to share the joys of a warped theory on electricity, but also, to encourage you guys to contact me with any equally retarded theories you may have heard people come up with! Also, you should all write to me saying what you think about her theory so that I can show her all your emails and see if that's enough to persuade her that... heaven forbid... she might be wrong about something! Good old mothers!!!!
